I too was pretty confused, so I researched a little in Japan there is those antique shop rather than second hand ones , famous clothes or things from 90's or before they fetch hefty price because collectors! It's the closest information I could find!

Honestly I have no idea but nikaidou thought it would be pricey , and from later information we could find that the shop really sell those "pricey" clothes! Our MC-group just didn't visited that part , so it could be anyone guess!
It could be also that Nikaidou just thought shop was pricey cause of outside, (it's name was written in English instead of normal Japanese)

Good heavens. I suppose I've led a sheltered nerd life, I never thought the intersection of "people who like anime/manga" and "people who run a risk of sustaining gunshots" was very big, but here we are. Hope you've recovered, and to the TL - rest up and get well soon - scanlation can wait!
