Where does Sasha's character-shaming behavior and taking out her frustrations on Haise happen? The only thing we saw was that when Haise was in danger and they had to save him, Sasha despaired for being so weak...
Read the entire thing again. You might be blind. This is an examp from Robin;

"Yeah, Sasha used to be harsh on Haise, right? She would take out her frustration on Haise when he tried so hard but didn't get results. 'Why doesn't Haise awaken his powers even though he's trying so hard?! He's not getting results!!' I don't think Tycoon knows this, but after Sasha takes out her frustration on Haise, she always regrets it and cries in her room. But then she does the same thing the next day and regrets it again..." <-- This would even count as mental illness

And this is Hijiri;

"In the first place, it's your fault for banishing Haise. You took out your frustration on him, banishing him for his sake, there's no way Haise would be happy about that. And then you forgot about the past, and you tried to get back together a little because you were closer... and Haise rejected that, right? You have no right to cry, and you have no right to stop Haise's decision."

And this is from her;

"I grew strong as a Sword Master. But you never awakened to your powers, and I took my frustration out on you... In the end, I became convinced that you couldn't keep up, and banished you. I can still say that... that decision was not wrong."

She still hasn't apologized as of chapter 415 btw. She even confessed but never apologized. Neither anyone in Sacred since they don't even think they did anything wrong in the first place. And she still completely ignores their pathetic jabs at Hyce and never tells them off. It's always Hyce that takes a step due to the gaslighting of Sasha's unending simps. Guild master being the leading example. At this point even his harem simps for her for some god damn reason even though only thing they know about her is her fucking over Hyce. Can't expect anything less from an author favorite marry sue. Entire past has been swept under the rag and forgotten in favor of keeping Sasha from taking proper responsibility and has some growth. Once every 50 chapters or so, it comes up but she pretty much goes "Yeah, i did that in the past i guess" and moves on immediately like during the illusion test dungeon.

Author just can't write interpersonal relationships. Because that would make his waifu look bad even though he's been doing a stellar job on that front by himself already. Not a single chapter goes without someone in the comments calling him and Sasha out for being terrible people.

At this point it is just treated as water under the bridge. Hyce acts like a tsundere with amnesia.

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!!

Author apperantly have complete control of the manga. This is literally manga original. What the fuck are you talking about "our dream"? What the hell? He is so far up in his ass that he brought in his Sasha glazing 100 chapters early because he couldn't help himself. Even in WN, it took almost 100 chapters for them to start talking properly let alone Hyce going "do it for our dream".

Damn i'm pissed.

ABANDON SHIP NOW. This is only gonna piss you off more in the future. Though this pacing feels like its gonna get axed soon.

edt. @Litreara is it possible to check JP comments of this?
I wasn't pissed at them possible reconciling their friendship (although it feels a bit forced and too early), what really pissed me off was Hyce saying, “Our dream”. Like hell nah, don't go back on what you said in chapter 2.3, Hyce was 100% spot on when he called her out on that. She's done absolutely nothing in terms of self reflection, or character growth, at least as the manga has presented for it to feel justified. All she's done up to now, is said “I'm sorry” and constantly repeating “...Hyce”. (speaking of which, both the manga and LN rely too heavily on her just repeating his name when anything emotional is brought up).

I want to see her grow as a character and be able to understand her mistakes and make amends for it, otherwise this whole story feels pointless if they really are trying to ship these 2 characters. Using a high stakes battle, only for Hyce to take a blow for her is cheap and so stupid in order for them to get closer. Maybe if she was about to take a killing blow for him, THEN it would make more sense if he were to say something like that and feel some sense of gratitude and newfound trust towards her. I don't know how you can fumble this story that badly.

I thought you were referring to something else, because this speaks better of Sasha than badmouthing her.

She didn't vent her frustrations on Haise out of malice, or because subjecting him to abuse turned her on. But because she was up against a rock and a hard place. Haise's failure to improve meant he could end up dead at any moment. They were taking on increasingly dangerous missions, and that involved ever greater risk... Therefore, she felt ever closer to having to make the decision she DIDN'T want to make, which was to leave him behind, to expel him.

She vented her frustrations on him, firstly, because she wanted him to get better and had to be tough with him to make it happen. And secondly, because she felt frustrated that if he didn't improve, the inevitable would happen: expel him. And that filled her with terror and sadness, like when she said that every time she treated him like that, he cried... but that he would do it again the next day, and the next, until he could stay with them.

You speak as if she did it out of whim, greed, pleasure, or something like that, when the fact that she was frustrated and being harsh with him meant she didn't want to resort to exile... and both the treatment and the idea of expelling him made her cry.

Honestly, I thought you were referring to something else, not this one, which I did remember...

Sasha wasn't a good childhood friend for several reasons, and quite a few (for which she has to apologize sooner or later), but this particular thing you're saying is ridiculous, and it speaks better of her than anything else.

I'm not your fucking tour guide but it's chapter 243. God's Garden labyrinth
That's much further ahead than what's translated into English, where I'm reading the novel, which is currently on issue 199.

Do I understand that's in Japanese? If so, I'd rather wait for it to be translated than hire a translator.

Well we have nothing else to discuss if difference in understanding is this fundamentally different. Carry on.

"Yes, my childhood friend abusing me night after night only to cry herself to sleep and then repeat it every day was just her being scared for me, and it absolutely makes her a good person and not someone who seems unstable and maybe shouldn't be leading a group of adolescents on deadly missions at best, or an outright terrible person with godawful judgement at worst."

Can we add to the conversation how these type of horrible attacks won't actually destroy part of the equipment? is like they never get hit in the first place. It barely looks damaged.

The novel prided itself for changing the exile trope and it did, the party isn't comically evil or incompetent the exile wasn't done out of hate and the exiled himself had power (not decoded but properly visible).Fans expected more out of the novel but the author did not deliver.

Can't believe you downplayed and justified verbal abuse. This is what happens when people read badly-written stories with their critical thinking turned off.

Nah what a sellout. This chapter actually made me think I wasted my time reading this series. Hopefully this is the end of the advertisment for the light novel (if any)

because he doesn't keep acting like a cringe lord 24/7? lol
I doubt someone spewing buzzwords will listen but I'll try. To most novel readers the best parts are when Hyce is away from Sacred and with another member, like we saw with Presea he's a bit grumpy but caring, so we hoped this manga will strengthen that part rather than going the disappointing instant reconciliation without apology we are suffering.

Oh, it's worse. Basically.

- He was sabotaged since day one by the lesbian Priest girl and the Knight guy. They ensured he would not receive any training, nor be taught anything. They in fact made sure he was so busy with various menial tasks and other stuff that he couldn't even do it on his own when he had time.

- They also made sure to trip him up and keep him out of fights so he'd fall back further and further. Because both of them have designs on Sasha and saw him as an obstacle to what they wanted and wanted him gone.

- The reason to kick him out becomes even LESS of a reason, when they begin recruiting low level/entirely new adventurers to build up Sacred and branch out. Sasha herself even notices that. When these same people begin to actually train newbies and teach them to fight. Something they never did for Hyce but very much did for her when they originally set out. She sees it, wonders about it, especially since they were the ones to convince her to kick him out, and then shrugs it off and moves on.

- Sending him over there was stupid, and shows she never thinks things through nor puts in even the most basic of effort into anything.

- Further when he collapsed and might've died, she left immediately on another quest. She didn't even stick around to wait for him to wake up or to see if he recovers much less apologizes to him. It makes sense for the other two people mentioned earlier, since they want Hyce gone. But not for her to do so.

- In the WN when she finds out those two people did all these things, are into her, how they sabotaged Hyce and confess to her. What do you think she does? Get angry? Kick them out? Feel bad? She does nothing. She keeps them around, they get to keep acting like they did before, lusting after her and treating Hyce badly.

- She also keeps getting recognition for shit Hyce did, as the world bends to make her out to be the bestest thing ever. Even the girls Hyce befriends, rescues, and works with somehow end up primarily working for Sasha's benefit in the end.

This isn't some great writing or deep plot. It's that the author completely fell in love with Sasha and ended up trying to bend the stories in various ways to make her out to be the bestest ever. Ignoring all her actions and fanboying her hard. Sasha is the authors waifu, his favourite character. And the manga seems to SPEEDRUN that.
ofc all the simps defending this garbage ignored this here
