Ahhh, new manga with tsundere heroine from Finland, she cute and pretty, and luckily her tsundere traits aren’t over top or idiot :meguu: MC has good & calm personality, but it’s still mystery why his childhood friend ended up being his ex-fiancée, with claims that MC left her and ran away :thonk: and it seems she still has feelings for him, with her exaggerated tsundere personality

I've noticed a trend in romance manga where the main female lead is white. Do the Japanese have a caucasian fetish, like white people have an asian fetish?
i think it's because in japan there aren't many colored people and romance manga is normally about normal life in highschool in japan so it isn't a fetish it's just that there aren't really colored people in high schools

Ummmm, well okay then.

FMC is a pretend tsundere where he actually has an old childhood friend/ex-fiance who will be an actual tsundere I bet. I am sure their engagement was decided on by their families and when his parents divorced that led to the engagement being dissolved. That childhood friend loved him when they were kids and still loves him. Although, if what he said was true then it would contradict that...what promise did she break?

The pacing is mega weird and feels all over the place. Like every new page was decided without looking at the previous one.
It's like I'm watching a promo/teaser for the next episode of a series.

FL already established her dominance over the CF, CF already lost when she started acting as a tsundere (bitch).

Here we go again with the name shenanigans. Aino is a completely normal and common first name for a Finn but Ryuti/Lyuti/Ryuchi/Lyuchi doesn't make any sense in Finnish.

Lyyti would be a real Finnish first name. I haven't seen it used as a surname before but technically it would not be wrong. I assume this is what the author was aiming for (maybe confused a middle name they saw somewhere for a surname or something like that) but I don't think you can write two y-letters back to back in Japanese. Then again, I haven't read the raws and her surname could very well be written in kanji, in which case you can completely disregard this rambling. But if it's spelled in katakana as リュチ or リュティ then I assume it's supposed to be Lyyti. Maybe. I don't know, I'm not the author.

Ruuti (meaning gunpowder) is also (technically) a completely legitimate surname, albeit quite weird.

EDIT: Her surname is most likely supposed to be Ryti, ignore above.

Ryti was first surname that came to my mind, dunno how it would read in japanese.

Also a bit of nitpicking, Finland isn't really scandinavian (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) but nordic (Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland).

You are right, it's Ryti. I don't know why I didn't think of that lol. Checked the raws and it's spelled with katakana as リュティ. Cross-referenced Wikipedia article for Risto Ryti in Japanese and it is written the same way. So her name should be translated as Aino Ryti.

Ryti is a good guess. The description on Mangadex says "Luthi", which would need to be changed to "Luhti" to work, but if there's only katakana to go on then Ryti makes perfect sense.

Edit: Would be interesting if a mangaka were to actually draw a character as if they're foreign, and not just a slightly different Japanese person.

I've never seen any woman in Finland have that kind of toes inward pose, outside of trying really hard to not pee themselves...
