So, a little context that I think is important for the chapters thus far.

As you may have noticed, I used chemist instead of apothecary because the author uses chemist in their translation of the title. This is most likely because they learned British English, where chemists are what pharmacies are called in England.

There's also the ambiguity of the relationship between Jack and Rai. No explanation is given in the manga, but according to the light novel Jack had been receiving free food from Rai after hours because he couldn't afford to buy anything. They are not family.

There's also the case with the branding or marking that Der-sama places on humans of interest. This is apparently the kingdom's coat of arms. There is no explanation, and there never will be.

Finally, when Sena first meets Der-sama, it is incredibly important to remember that she was absolutely taken with his eyes. :win:

Well, that is all for context of ch1-5. I hope you all like the story so far, and continue reading in the future. Oh yes, the first volume of the light novel is available on Amazon Kindle for free!! x3
