I think the integrity of wanting the quality to be as high as you can make it is respectable; if waiting until March/April at the latest means you get the raws you feel are best, I would wait until then to read more of this series.
Ultimately the majority will decide and that decision should rightfully be honored; this reads well-enough as-is, so it wouldn't be a full loss to continue in this vein.

But thank you for the TL work, as always, because this has been a lovely series to follow along with.

Yeah. Wakao's down bad for Mizuno. I know it's not been explicitly stated, but it'd be the misread of the decade if it weren't the case after those last few pages.

Also I absolutely thought she'd be another Yokai, but I guess not? Unless it's just........not come up yet, somehow (I would imagine Mizuno would pick up on it almost immediately, otherwise). Guess we'll see, but an unwitting rival-but-not-really is kind of interesting, as well.

one way is to make her not a romantic rival, but merely a friend who is seeking her own path and will get help from the main two in doing so, while sharing in the general goings-on & fun.

Look at this chapter and then immediately revisit a previous chapter and the difference should be much more apparent.

I read on MangaPlus and other apps, so reading manga scans at a shitty quality is my life and blood at this point

Honestly scan quality don't even seem that bad compared to the ones on those apps, so I give my vote to keep it like this

This manga isn't really art-centric, art is nice but it doesn't do the heavy lifting in this case. Continue as you were

Bit of AI upscaling does the job. Size gets bit out of hand so needs bit of resizing. But still day and nigh difference with almost zero effort. Some of the sharpness of original drawing style is lost. But honestly. Better this than artifacts. I read exclusively on my phone and it's noticeable. I bet it's pretty awful on PC

Interesting. I already use upscayl for another series, so I'm not really sure why I didn't think to try it here. I'll toy around with it tomorrow for chapter 13.
