I mean being demisexual is a thing but other than 'love at first sight' i think most ppl would be cautious about a stranger asking them out , tho i guess at high schooler age it's a bit diff, bc other than being bullied you wouldn't necessarily think of a fellow student as dangerous

well, that aside i'd think the 'average plain girl' being cautious/not immediately saying yes to a 'popular' guy asking them out makes sense, tho depends on if ppl have asked others out as a 'joke' too

You kinda do, though? Otherwise it isn't really them that you love, just the idea you have of them or just their appearance. You dunno their actual interests, how they are when not in public, and the list could go on.

That isn't to say that you have to like or know everything about your partner, just that if you don't even know anything besides that one thing about them that caught your eye, can you really call it love?
