Nezha and Red Boy are separate deities, but are easily confused because they both are rebellious hot headed brats. Nezha is the anti-authority, spear wielding and flies with "Fire Wheels"; Red Boy is the son of Bull Demon King and 100% Demon, is a vicious little brat, and uses the Samadhi Fire which can't be extinguished. There's some overlap between them so there's confusion at times of them being one & the same.

Honghaier aka the red boy, Remixman87 already gives some insight, so I'm adding more. Both Nezha and Honghaier have Samadhi Fire, but the red boy has mastered the ability far more than Nezha. Also, despite possessing the fire that can't be put out normally, Nezha is more adept in physical combat than using magic, all of his magics, "Hot Wheels" and "Transformation" is to aid physical combat.
So combat-wise, yeah, Nezha can't damage Wukong, he deals physical dmg, which Wukong is immune to. Samadhi Fire is his best bet against Wukong, but he doesn't practice it, hence the level is low. His magic level is lower than Wukong's a lot, so Wukong can outsmart him. Remember Wukong mastery transformation.
Now, Honghaier, despite being young (300 years old Taoism level), his magic talent enable him to master Samadhi Fire, which also fuses his cocky bratty attitude, totally understandable, he wields one of the strongest magic fires. He damaged Wukong, a lot; the Sage equal to Heaven has to dodge direct combat against Honghaier.
The story never states if Wukong can survive the full hit of Samadhi Fire's Honghaier, but it already shows bypassing all of his defences that he is so proud of. In one instance, Wukong said he would be burned to death if he didn't find a way to counter the red boy's fire, just his words, never happened. Even Honghaier's parents, who are God-like Demons, are scared of the fire as well.
About Nezha's achievements, he killed Dragon's Prince because that guy was an asshole to citizens, also fought against Heaven's soldiers, and that is all. Sure, he can match Wukong in using weapon combinations, but he is unable to damage him, and never won or scared Wukong away.
So Red Boy or Erlang is way fitter than Nezha. Just give a quick resume of why Erlang scare Wukong, because he is the strongest physical combatant of that time, pure skills. His third eye enables him to see through any of Wukong's transformations. Wukong is just so sick of dealing with this guy, as he is the only one who can "do this all day" and kick his ass, which in fact, was his original plan.
