That depends on what you consider suffering or misery. If you’re into sharing, swinging, netorase or NTR-adjacent crap, then you’ll be fine with where this seems to be going. If not, it’s harder to say. Right now, it’s still unclear what direction the story will take.

-> Optimistically, this could just be the beginning: the MC slowly building relationships with the already introduced girls, forming a loose “not-quite-harem” dealing with the mystery around X-God and the X-cult and eventually getting some small-to-mid-tier ecchi scenes along the way.

-> Pessimistically, based on what we’ve already seen, it could lean heavily into sharing, swinging, netorase and a rivalry where the antagonist competes by sleeping with more girls or taking them from MC. We can already confirm at least one case like this (possibly two, depending on where the blonde goes), and others show signs of being targeted next.

My suggestion is to treat this cautiously and wait. Give it a couple of years, then check where the story clearly leans. By then, it should be obvious what direction the author committed to. That’s what I’m planning to do.
