No, it has nothing to do normal route. R18 is what if timeline where MC crosses the line. Story in main storyline barely moves. R18 is main part of author's monthly earnings. Main storyline is like an advertisement for Fantia posts.

No it's the opposite. Sou won't object, but she needs to move faster than the guard students to reach it.

To be fair - none of the girls would believe a friendly man like Sou even exists, let alone have they encountered one. From their perspective they had only ever met suspicous, selfish, nasty or otherwise unpleasant guys. Obviously none of them would even remotely know how to safely approach Sou. In the end it's a problem of communication:

On one side we have a hot guy called Sou who wants to make friends and ultimately score a girlfriend.
The other side has 38 (whole class except Yuri) girls who would love to be friends (with lots of benefits).

Not even counting the 2-A guards, the teachers and Sou's family here.

The competition is high.

Correct. I wrote it in some earlier comment - the first girl who is bold enough and tells Sou what she wants has a huge advantage and high chance to succeed. Kanaria noticed this as well when it was about getting a taste of Sou's lunch. It's all about speed with a guy like Sou - and the first mover will likely win.

Well, if I was in Sou's place then Sumire (as my Nee-chan) would be out by default...

But in general?

I'd have no problem being together with Sumire, I actually like her quite a bit. Sure, she's quirky, totally horny and kinda acts like human trash, but that's just half the picture and exactly what's so refreshing about her. Unlike other girls who don't want to show their bad sides, Sumire has her failures and she shows them - it's "what you see is what you get". And when I look at her then she's absolutely gorgeous - on par with Aya.

So what if she cannot cook (I can, no worries) and I don't mind her lounging around like a NEET when she's at home - Sumire is a looker, I would happily enjoy the view. And she may act like a girl failure, yet she is anything but. She is a college student, so this girl has no issues working. Sumire really cares for the one she likes and while she might be a bit possessive she's clearly not an eerie yandere or totally overprotective. She knows where to draw the line and reflects on her mistakes.

Sumire would be a fine girlfriend and in that world she'd be a strong partner.
