What they should do now is call for help, search for fresh water, set up a base camp and shelter, look for firemaking materials and possible sources of food, salvage sharp objects that can be used as tools and/or self-defense, establish landmarks in case anyone is separated, create a visible signal for rescue, and then slowly expand your search perimeter to look for signs of civilization.

Surely this is what will happen in the next chapter!
