So delightful! I also have fond memories of taking home supermarket flyers promoting their cooked food sections. I once found an old cookbook my mother bought from Hong Kong, which was a Chinese translated version of a Japanese pasta cookbook. So cool. I ought to start baking again one day.

Me too, I relate so much to the free supermarkets leaflets recipes clipped and filed. When I was a teen, my local supermarkets in Australia (like Coles and Woolies) literally produced periodical recipe magazines which I collected with enthusiasm. ^^ sure bring back memories.

i wouldn't mind making sweets with a friend but other than zoning out or accidentally napping i don't think i'd be too interested to stay and watch the oven/toaster oven itself

not sure if i've had JP style cheesecake (tho i have had a zero sugar? this asian bakery with in a market had) but can't go wrong with cheesecake
