Dang, I was hoping that he'd take his time with her. Will didn't even have to watch Yard slowly break Olympia right in front of him.

from netorare to humiliation unto death.
if he wants to top this unnecessary cruelty, he could restore her personality again...
after a certain threshold is reached, it just doesnt stop hurting to read, like in isekai ntr.
i guess sadists might find a treat in this though.

He also broke the contract he made with her handily. Of all the chapters so far, this one leaves the worst taste in my mouth.
Well…he didn’t break the contract. It wasn’t him that killed the prisoners, but Olympia, on her own accord, and before he could free the prisoners. You can’t free prisoners if they were dealt with beforehand, technically. The Devil would argue that Yard was technically rendered unable to keep his promise because Olympia rendered it moot by her own hands, literally.

It’s not his fault that the love-maxxed lady decided to sort out the problem by herself without orders.

I mean, i think she already had the menmtality of "Imma use these fuckers for the country", so with her affection going exclusively towards mc instead of her country+her soldiers she went "Imma use these fuckers for my master". Remember the nobles treat commoners like shit.

I understand that 'instant brainwashing' is what he does. He's already done it multiple times by now.

...but all that buildup the past few chapters feels wasted or pointless. Why spend a full 1-2 chapters setting up the relationships of all these characters, their backstories, and Will's obvious crush on the commander, just to kill them all off in a few pages? Goblin Slayer did it for the tragedy aspect, but this doesn't feel the same at all.

Is it possible to return the corpses back to their homeland? He never agreed to return them alive. Patch them up and send them back in one piece.

Next chapter better address this contract issue.

Oh boy lets check in on this trash fire.

He also broke the contract he made with her handily. Of all the chapters so far, this one leaves the worst taste in my mouth.
I believe the story is claiming he didn't break the contract because she decided on her own to remove the things(people) that was MCs job.
More fucking stretch than Stretch Armstrong at Yoga. Author-San really was digging deep for the edge this chapter. I'm in the same camp, I knew he is a scumbag and all but damn dawg. Doing it THAT DIRTY? Okay then I guess...

some things in this manga just feel so unnecessary. it's crossed over into pizza cutter territory.

ALL EDGE, NO POINT. I'm also with you on this. :aquadrink:

is anybody still in doubt that MC is evil as fuck?
It feels like the Author thought so.

"I know I've already shown this guy to be the biggest scumbag alive, from experiments on people's brains while they are awake and can feel intense pain, to intense underhanded dealing and schemes... How can I really show how edgy we can get? I wanna make sure everyone knows he is the bad guy!"

Well, that's mostly because he didn't know about their relationship. If she ever spilled the beans he ABSOLUTELY would've
There was no relationship though? She wasn't in love with him. It was one sided from his end.

Very unsatisfying end, truly there would be so much more they can do with the commander and their subordinates after the setup they did.
