Why is there a handful of crazy girls in this world lol. Aria, the Crazy Mage girl, and the Fake Heroine.

Also now Pink Hobo is famous 😎
I feel like the most normal girl in this universe so far is the girl that got isekaed as a villainess, hopefully she gets more focus later tbh

The second part of your comment confuses me because where is any of that in the actual text? If that was the thought by the attackers then wouldn’t that mean they would have to have some deeper knowledge of rumors/goings on in the assasins guild? The thieves guild was aware of the internal struggles concerning the blackmail of the dark elf, but then also wouldn’t be afraid of the retribution by said dark elf OR consider that if the girl was weak then she may have aid from/be under direct watch of the elf at that moment?! Wouldn’t that be all the more reason to not try and mess with her?

As I mentioned in another post, considering that she would have had the foresight and skill to be able to pull of a trap that eradicates an entire guild, the phrase “just a little girl” is worse than any of the other ones that I provided because it defies all of the easily observable and unsettling degree of threat she is displaying in that moment. They are written to be absolute morons, not overconfident idiots.
Dark elf isn’t much of a threat since she’s very sick as a result of having learned 3 elements. She could fight but the strain would take years off her life and might kill her. Maybe they think she helped mc wipe out of the guild, but if so, the strain would have probably left her bedridden. plus, attacking one thieves guild means making an enemy out of every thieves guild, some of which have some descent fighters.

As for why they’re underestimating her, I do think few factors come into play. There is a very weird rivalry between scouts, thieves, and assassins (all 3 literally tell mc not to compare them to the other 2 at different points in the ln), so the thieves would’ve likely (consciously or not) downplayed the strength of the assassins and been willing to believe they fell into a trap as simple as mc blowing up their base. That’s a very assassin thing to do. The assassins also appraised mc when she first joined so the beggar could’ve known her stats from back then which are way lower than they are now.

1. That still does not mean that the knowledge of the dark elf and her standing in the guild AND the fact that she is leverage over Aria is known to the thieves guild. My point was that the most they would know about is the Elf and her relationship to Aria if anything and that alone is enough to be cautious because you were trying to make the point that Aria was known as the leverage over the Elf. My firm contention is that none of it is public-ish knowledge so it will not factor into their consideration at all.

2. IF we are to believe, as you're trying to state now that, they somehow not only are supposing that the elf is involved but also know about her powers AND limitations AND are able to extrapolate her current state then why would they not mention it in the conversation when offering protection to Aria. Highlighting a weakness of the other party in order to make your own strength seem greater is negotiation 101. Still this doesn’t really matter because it’s not in the manga or in the implications at all. We don’t know about how the thieves guild functions; we don’t have any indication of what their offensive force is like; we DO know that rumors were spread around after this event, but given their vagueness we don’t know to what degree the actual facts were shared.

3. If it’s about their status then AGAIN a phrase like “She’s just a single assassin; Don’t give her time to run; Don’t give her time to think; She can’t have any traps rush her quickly” All of these then would center around their, as I stated in the earlier post, overestimation of their own abilities and in such a case an underestimation of her skillset. NOT just the fact that she is a little girl, which by all accounts as I am saying should be very far from their mind considering any appraisal of the situation.

4. I don’t know how or why you think the assassins guild would actively share their appraisals of active killing members with essentially their doormen when they don’t share appraisals between said members so as to protect their methods of killing and capabilities.

You’re doing a lot of “writing for the Author”, where you kinda have this head canon of explanations and justification that aren’t supported by the text at all. It stretches the idea of “could” beyond it’s limits merely to MAKE some kind of resolution instead of piece together or uncover or construct some kind of resolution. Though this manga is great and has a ton of good writing, just call out when it’s bad writing.

She does, but not in a good way. She ends up going down the villainess route despite/due to trying to avoid her fate. She got a gift from a dungeon spirit that lets her "foresee" the future (but not really since the prediction is only based on information she currently has) at the cost of her lifespan, which makes her sort of go crazy and try to kill other characters.

"Huh what? She annihilated a whole assassin branch by herself? Those people who's job is to kill? Who cares! Go my thieves, my weak thieves who just steals, take her down!"

If I remember correctly, she doesn't become Rank 4 until the start of the academy arc, at around the first fight with Graves? And she doesn't become Rank 5 until the end of the desert/dark elves kingdom arc, right before the Rank 7 dragon fight. Kayla actually ranked up to 5 a bit before Aria.
holy crap. that means the rank system is super slow to ascend, huh.
Our girl here SPED through the first 3 ranks at an insane rate. :meguupog:

I'm a little confused about the multiple necklaces now. Aria recovered a magic stone from the water spirit she defeated way back. Her master taught her how to make magic amulets. From the magic stone, she made the duplicate amulet she gave to Dino in place of the stolen Spirit Tear and used up that fake. She returned the original Spirit Tear, but what is she saying about tinkering with it? It does look different at the end but when did she have time to do that? In the panel with the message it's the original design.
Druing her traveling time presumably.

I'm confused on that section too, though. Is there three necklaces or two?

We have the burnt one that she sounded like she turned the duplicate? And then she also returns the original? Why not just return the original and keep the duplicate? And avoid needing to tamper with it if she's just gonna give the original back.

Yeah it's actually nice seeing a series where the levels are painfully slow to go up. In this series, you may see a long and painful training and fight, and the end result will just be power +20 (out of 1000). To rise to rank 3, Aria has to beat tons of other rank 3s frontally and rank 4 stealthily (as a rank 2, mind you). Same later with rising to rank 4.

Rank 4 is said to be elite among humans and rank 5 is once in generation talent, and the author ensure that it really do be like that.

So there’s a ton of issues in this chapter translation. Like why did you call the daughter of the baron his mistress?

Are you assuming my age?
Also where i live 14 is the age of consent. Like most of the world is around 15. Japan for starter.
You burgerlanders will never even consider the idea that maybe, just maybe, you make a too much big deal out of it?
Just a little tiny thought?
Of course not, this would require a free thinking brain.

Most studios employ freelancers that work kind of everywhere. Maybe between them there will be someone who worked with gainax or kyoani. In the very end is only budget that truly make the difference.
Also, where did you see the anime studio? I can't google it anywhere.

Well, I don't know how it works in Burgerland or Nihon Koku but here's in my country, early marriages between kids are frown upon. Such practices are outdated customs reserved for the under-educated in far-off under-developed places.

All the otome villainess reincarnators always think in tropes and plots instead of common sense for some reason.

Yeah.
I said the AOC is 14 but this only means that is the limit for the "statutory rape" or more precisely when an adult would get jailed directly, no questions asked. This doesn't mean is overally approved, or there is no risk at all to get jailed.
