It just took him a bit to realize she's been 'speaking flowers' because it's not his primary language + she probably hasn't tried this before.

My personal theory is it's his parents who suggested this idea to her.

i know some flowers have 'negative' meanings, wonder if anyone ever sent passive aggressive bouquets to anyone in the past, maybe in the old style victorian era or so XD

(makes me wonder if modern florists would refuse to make bouquets like that but then, even if yellow carnations mean something bad, ppl can still have it as their fave flower/not take it as an insult if they receive it)
