I do hope to see more chapters and not too many hiatus because they seem to be a heartwarming,/gut wrenching story

Hey, it never get's translated or given a translation note, what the fuck is an oshi? It's just being thrown around in the description and used commonly as a word, but it's definitely not a word I've ever heard used.

Hmmmm......... I remember the female character (Noa)'s age wasn't 18 back then, when the web novel was just still 1-15 chapters and hadn't been adapted into a manga yet .
you can see it too why she’s so attached and dependent to the main character. she was young before her age was changed by author

I just checked the web novel after reading the manga.... the author changed her age there too.
this must have something to do with 'weirdo' who’s obsessed with protecting pixel images .

Is this the effect of censorship and adaptation into a manga? . To be honest........... making a work acceptable to modern audiences and publishers isn't my favorite thing

OK, so if you're like me and have no bloody clue what an "oshi" is, it's kinda like "favorite" except with more emotional ties. Imagine there's a particular tennis player you like and always watch their matches and keep up with their public lives - that's your "oshi." It can be translated as "one you support" or "one you push forward," apparently.

So in the game this world is based on, she was his favorite character and he cared more about what happened to her than what happened to the other protagonists.

Anyone who actually speaks Japanese feel free to correct me.

This one is interesting in its own way. So far, the raws are only up to 4 chapters (it uses the .1 system, so it has 6 chaps total).

The word ‘oshi (推し, literally meaning ‘recommendation’)’ comes from the term ‘oshi-men (推しメン)’, which refers to the member of a particular idol group that you like the most. The term ‘oshi-men’ was coined around 1980, and from around 2000 it started to be used by some fans of the popular group Morning Musume (モーニング娘). It became more familiar with the rise of another idol group, AKB48, which was formed in 2005.

Japanese people like to shorten words, so the term gradually came to be called ‘oshi’. It has even been included in major Japanese dictionaries. The 2019 edition of the Daijirin dictionary defines it as to recommend. In particular, it is a young people’s word that means “to support” or “to be a fan”. The 2020 edition of the Meikyo Kokugo Jiten dictionary defines it as a person or thing that is strongly supported. A favourite.
