Semantics? Riri has almost no compunctions against altering human minds. Riri brain washed away most of Mom's hangups and restraint so Mom would be conveniently useful. At best, it's unclear how much was a healthy intervention and how much is reeducation to the fetish and fresh personality Riri needs. The love for yuri should be natural, but it's still brainwashing.

Which is darkly funny. Riri's blue and orange morality at least spreads yuri.

Going beyond that and taking it seriously would be less funny, but it's still alien infiltrator brainwashing and not medical care.

Riri literally says that the only thing she did was brainwash Iori's mom into letting Riri stay at her house. Everything else is just a result of Iori's mom trying to be less strict after realizing she was sorta fucking Iori's life up.

By purely story logic, even if you're an optimist there's permanent heavy doubt about the situation. Better yet, accept this fiat accompli has been unfucking up a family. It's totally fine to bet or headcanon anyway that this event is somehow different from other gags. It's a happy story.

If taking things seriously or literally is part of your fun the above adds layers of wtf.

At no point does the manga suggest that she's wrong or lying. Iori reacts with shock and disbelief that this is what her mom is like when she drops the strict act, but again she never suggests that Riri is lying.

At this point, there's more evidence for this being the truth of the matter than otherwise.

And even there got met with skepticism? "Disbelief" counts. Maybe not your preferred word. It was disbelief in chapter 11, in 12...

I learned about the love of yuri. And I was left with serenity and a sense of wonder.

So Riri only brainwashed mom the one thing? Not the entire comedic convenience flipping her personality with serenity and wonder? Textually you're wrong, but tonewise it's still a good thing. Yes, mom was "predisposed" to liking yuri. Not all this other stuff. Which, I don't think Iori is credulous enough to not disbelieve.

You're conflating mom being a gentle and sweet person if she let go of her seriousness (probable but unfalsifiable for now), mom being an obsessive yuri fan mindset (indications against, predisposition for it though), and the brainwashing "serenity" and "wonder" or whatever being an effect we can treat like medication or rehab (definitely, and still brainwashing).
