Super glad Momo is back in business. She's a leader whether she has her memories or not and always devising plans on the fly while being willing to put herself in harms way. Her powers are also intact, which is fantastic. Love this classic Momo/Okarun tag team. Glad we're finally back to that and can't wait to see what they do next.

We need to appreciate as readers how the author nevers succumbs to easy shonen gimmicks like believing in the power of friendship to write himself out of trouble. He's a master puzzle solver and he never forgets to put endearing moments for his characters seamlessly like with Momo and Okarun here.

I'm glad they're going with "sideways" enemy scaling instead of "always go bigger". That also lets us enjoy them still developing their own character instead them just being "sentient super moves users".

TBF they weren't that strong to begin with. They've always won by the skin of their teeth and cheesing the enemy, so now they're finally starting to develop skills to tip the scales in their favor.

That "skin of their teeth," "let's figure some shit out soon or we're dead," flavor is what makes the series work so well. I hope we never lose it. Same with the 2 person team our MCs make and the romance that helps support it. The series is best when it focuses on as many of those aspects at once as it can. This chapter felt good.

This is what I'm predicting. Okarun does something insanely badass and heroic and says his name afterwards and confesses his love, Momo falls madly in love and is all over him because she only knows the athletic heroic side of him, a little bit after that she gets her memories back and starts acting super embarrassed about how she acted before because she also remembers the dorky wimp side of him.
