this one's starting to stress me out now lol

The concept's super neat, though. I think it's an issue of the story not being at the point where actual answers are going to surface, so the stress of the characters' situation is all we have as readers and we're watching Maki slowly get "worse" / more cat-like, with the only lead they had, suddenly becoming questionable, and also seemingly ineffectual.

But I am grateful for the continued TL work on this one. I've grown very invested in these two and look forward to seeing how this story concludes.

I don't know what to make of this situation. Not gonna lie, this doesn't sound good. Maki is bound to become a cat/human hybrid at this point.
The cat inside Maki seeems to be fond of Ichika, so I am assuming that is going to play a role at the end of this.

My best guess is that the cat is trying to repair the relationship between Maki and Ichika by causing these series of events. Let's see how this plays out.
