I’ll probably get hate for this, but even as a cat person, I despise people who buy munchkin cats. If you have one cause of rescue, well props to you cause they were probably in the wild cause damn breeders left them cause no one buyings.
Munchkins are an abomination of cat evolution, caused by breeders creating a cat breed that’s more prone to health problems similar to pugs cause of their dwarfism. Have you seen how high a munchkin can jump, it is pitiful compare to a healthy cat with good proportions.
That’s why you never see them outside of human care. It’s unethical to pay breeders just so your cat can look unique or get more likes on social media while the animal is silently suffering.
Keep in mind that I’m not saying this breed should die; their existence is already a sad one. My main point is that if you are a cat lover, just adopt from a shelter instead of buying. Those unethical immoral breeders would stop if no one buying them.
