My headcanon for Yura was so much better than this. Turns out he's just a generic edgelord "lost my wife so now I want to burn and remake the world". A walking trope basically.

I remember him being so much more ominous and mysterious, yet he's become a secondary antagonist already without doing much of anything. Guess that's the price of such hectic pacing. Maybe this really IS getting the axe?

Great power great responsibility isnt a difficult concept to grasp.
The power of the blades could have ruled over the magic world with an iron fist, instead they were left rotting in some basement while gangs run wild and the government has their hands tied.
Simply concluding that the blades have outlived their purpose the second the ""war"" ended oblivious to everything that comes after is pretty stupid.
We havent seen much of this world, but the majority of what we saw was thugs and crime.
Its more like bladesmith guy got sand in his coochie when brother-in-law culturally enriched the undesirables and ran off

No thanks. The swordsmen made it clear no one can control them, it would have been a military dictatorship essentially. I'll take gangs over that any day. And if the edgelord tree boi and his lackeys didn't like that, they could have attacked the criminals instead of working with them.

Tell that to literally any military dictatorship in the world - Indonesia and the massacre of communists (which turned into the murder of anyone that opposed what they were doing), Sudan, etc. There's a very key difference between "doing something" and falling into an authoritarian regime, you give people the power to state sanction murder "undesirables" and that gets turned towards regular citizens, it happens literally all the time, it's naive to think that we'd do anything different.

The manga literally showed it happening, they made the swords to defend themselves and it was used to erase their enemies off the map, Yura's goal is to use the swords to rule with an iron fist and eradicate those that disagree.

Funny, because that's not my argument in the slightest.

"Le reddit nazi" I didn't bring them up because their beliefs are completely different from the iron fist of "cleaning up the streets" that someone like Duterte had, which a lot of people understandably agreed with, and turned their eyes away from the crimes he committed until it was their family being wrongly executed in their homes. It had basically no effect on trafficking or drug usage.

There's a reason why he's been arrested and being held in the Hague awaiting trial.

Shit should be done, but not shit like kicking down doors and executing them on the spot.
