Interesting how page seventeen seems to look like his eye is expanding and stretching out to become the "egg." Especially considering how the following page shows the egg on the exact other side of his head, not connected to the eye at all.

Anyways, something I just realized. The characters on both of the covers we have listed here on MangaDex so far are supposed to be Komori-2, aren't they?

I think the eye it came out of is facing the ground and what we're seeing is the "cocoon" having burst out the other side of his head. The paneling is not very clear on that front.
