SBS, also known as Smooth Brain Syndrome, is a rather tragic condition that has afflicted many of those living in the modern world. Currently there is no known cure aside from holistic treatments such as reading and thinking. Often times parents try to prevent this by beating their children with clothes hangers, their hands, and most infamously, the chancla. The success rate of this controversial prevention technique is surprisingly high but comes with a variety of adverse side effects including trauma, parental resentment, and depression. If you or a loved one is suffering from SBS, call your local library for support. Godspeed
