Arika knows everyone hates her, yet she still asks them for help. It would be better to just meet Ruri alone instead of increasing her enemies. I guess it's their toxic surroundings that are making them toxic too. But it's not fair to blame Arika; she also has her own issues. They should have supported each other instead of making things more difficult.

This chapter with Ruri's breakdown is one of my favorites. It's so raw and emotional, truly the climax of all her emotions bursting at the seams. I still cry reading it.

Arika is 100% in the right. People who've never been there don't get how substance abuse and addiction ruins your life permanently.

Being jobless is certainly not something pretty, but someone in Ruri's position definitely still has a long life ahead of her and can deal with that, especially with a proper support network like she has. But once you're addicted to drugs, even if you go to rehab and make it out okay, it's still a lifelong struggle not to relapse, your body is permanently changed, and the more addicted you are the worst that gets.

Honestly I really like how this manga portrayed the subject of drugs and how that subject intertwined with all the idols involved.

Just a shame that Arika was curb stomped again and again by everyone around her.

... these revelations with arika climbing out of the grave and just meeting up people, ruri literally vomiting exposition, it all feels kinda haphazard, development wise. Like, the series is ending, it's GO TIME that so many authors are forced into to tie things together in time.

Arika wanting to do the right thing & help Ruri out despite everything that happened is something most people could never do. Arika is still a teenager & it is impressive that she's pushing forward. Too bad that the world isn't kind to people like her & I don't blame her for disappearing after all this. Thanks for the translations.

I wonder if what this actually means is that Arika ended up disguising as Ruri to avoid people finding out about this, actually. I think there'd be a bit of retcon, but this feels to me what they're hinting towards.

I hope Ruri gets caught and loses any and every chance of being in the public face again. Her excuses don't really matter. In reality once again it just shows how selfish she is. She constantly risks everybody else because she thinks she needs to be on the top when reality is she doesn't have enough to actually make it there. She isn't skilled enough, lacks the personality, add on her drug addiction and attitude and she deserves to see reality where she doesn't get rewarded for an attempted murder, coverup, and defamation.

This chapter had me thinking: what do you exactly do with people like Ruri?

How do you convince them that being the best isn't the most important thing in the world? How do you convince them to keep doing their best even if the results don't show up - even after a long period of time?

Her whole emotional breakdown had me really thinking about these kinds of questions. Obviously drug abuse and murder are wrong, but you can't blame her for wanting something greater, especially from where she came from. So how can she (healthily) recover from the grief of having unachieved dreams? Should she learn how to be grateful for the smaller things around her, instead? Will her self esteem eventually forgive herself for settling for something less? I wonder.

Thank you to Keiksky for the translation too! This was a lovely and continuous read in December, after catching up from hectic months of medschool! 🥰 These newly translated chapters made my day!
