Oh my god I thought this was somewhat sane (reading this out of morbid curiosity) but then we get to the last ten chapters and it’s just random guy turns up and tries to rape everybody. What!??!

I understand the amount of 1 stars now. Just god awful those last ten chapters. I’m a sucker for drama and dark plotlines but evidently the author just pulled rape out of his fetish arse for this one. Like there was not even a hint until the last 10 chapters of that guy existing. I’m not one of those people to as soon as the story takes a dark turn to shout NTR for no reason. The inclusion of this was just unnecessary and left a sour taste in my mouth. Man I should have expected this from the erotica tag (curiosity really killed the cat huh). Not touching any of this stuff with a rating under 7.5 I guess, lesson learned.

You just summed up the issues with the writing here. Nobody here has a single functioning brain cell and the author thinks gratuitous usage of rape for cheap drama is good writing.

Sexual assault and rape can make for good drama, but only when it's handled respectfully and with tact, not using it so losely and flimsy like this. I found the ntr arc to be outright disrespectful in it's handling of the subject matter.

And then to make matters worse, as you said nobody even thinks for a second they just operate entirely on gullibility and impulses. Also the main girl is legit just a bitch for no real reason, why she's the "romantic" focus I do not understand.

Yeah but that she still continues to do this after it's proven he isn't like that is her just being an asshole. At a certain point your actions stop having a justification and they need to be called out.
