I feel like this should not have been the first arc NGL. It’s taking a bit too long and really wearing the joke thin but the major problem is that we’re getting a REALLY specific slice of worldbuilding while still not knowing much about the broad strokes of the world. Honestly I don’t give a shit about any of this because so far we haven’t established normalcy. Literally on the fifth fucking chapter JUST when a swing of “let’s flesh out this current life” was about to start, this arc reared up out of nowhere AND HAS BEEN GOING SINCE. More than half of the series so far before any of the characters have had a chance to develop.
