Considering the manga itself seems to be on hiatus (Yanmanga does not list a next chapter). This is a great place to stop and rest.

"My mouth worked overtime" is ambiguous enough and we have more than enough context to immediately jump to thinking that Ayumi might have attempted to impersonate a vacuum cleaner.
