Mc Isekai as the hero.
Kill the demon King.
Get betrayed by human.
Destroy human kingdom.
Run away with a demon queen.

Why do I feel that MC’s mind is like that of a middle schooler more than a war veteran. Muh, I hate the world and everyone, only my beautiful demon queen wife is my ally :shamihuh:

What is this ? A kid ?

summoned to isekai > defeated the demon king > execution to death > failed and immediately destroyed the country that summoned MC :aquadrink: interesting thing here is that MC is not naive and rejects offer from princess from another country, i hope MC continues like this, killing or getting rid of all creatures that hinder or interfere with MC life. trauma being betrayed by a country is cruel, especially when that country or the world has been saved by you and then suddenly betrays you. at first, this manga reminded me manga Kyuuseishu «Messiah» or Isekai Summoner, Shinwa no Kaibutsu-tachi to Gendai de Musou suru but with a slightly different story.

What you wanted him to accept the execution or destroy/take over the world? This seems like a far more mature choice than either of those lol, to fuck off and enjoy his life instead of serving anyone.

What a retarded take😂😂
They literally gave us a mere glimpse of what happened(which will likely be explained in greater detail as the story goes on) and you think you understand everything man your IQ must be low

imagine saving the world,
and as thanks for saving the world you get betrayed by the same people you save and about to get executed for being an "outsider" what will you feel?

It's nice to see a MC that didn't just accept being executed for once. I get people want the whole "hero" mentality to be selflessness and forgiveness or whatever, but going too far with either just makes a pushover, especially when they were forced into becoming a hero and didn't make that choice on their own accord.

And what would do a mature war veteran?

Why skip over the most interesting a satisfying part of his story? I want to see the king and soldiers face as he flips the table and destroys half their country for betraying him! :pout:

And what would do a mature war veteran?

I think that with all the hardship he has to endure during his time fighting the demon king and all the other shit, he would mature a bit, not much but more tough mentally. But I don't see anything tough about him at all beside his power is OP, his inner monologue and everything seem like a kid come up with a setting and just let it roll.

Well, this is just how I see it, I don't think he did anything wrong with destroy the human kingdom to retaliate or refuse the princess but I just find his inner monologue cringe.

Like how he keep mention that the world is shitty and how only his wife is his ally and the only one love him and on his side in all the world.

Dude seem like someone who is under mental illness which make him hate the whole world and obsesesed with his wife to keep himself together. That is kinda unhealthy.

Well, this is just my opinion though, everyone has their own taste.

Would be cool but I feel like its gonna be some magical plot disease to get the ball rolling and force the MC to help people in exchange for the cure.

I feel like that's the case too but I'd much prefer if it was happier news like pregnancy. And maybe, our MC-turned father decides to fix the world so his kid can live in a peaceful one. Still gets the ball rolling without the couple having any dire circumstances.

Oh, so like a more stoic character? I can get behind that.

but more tough mentally
It can be quite the opposite. After all that shit it's no wonder a person can become mentally unstable

After all those events it's easy to develop something like PTSD. And it's good that it's just obsession with wife. It could be worse

I don't know how to get this added to the title page but this is the novelupdates link if anyone wants to read the novel version: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-sulky-summoner-doesnt-move/

I decided to check out the novel to see how it starts off and it is a bit different in terms of how it presents Kenta. This chapter covers chapter 1 and half of chapter 2. The dream sequence showing his summoning, fight with demon king, and betrayal by the kingdom is not present in novel or at least not within the first few chapters.

Novel starts off with people yelling outside Kenta's house and him grumbling about having to deal with them. Kenta describes Princess Victoria as wearing a filly lace-adorned armor whereas the manga has her in a frilly dress. This totally changes her impression for me. Armor says that she is actively part of battle as a commander of some sort, dress says to me that she stays far away from any conflict. Kenta also comes off as much less obsessed with his wife in the first few novel chapters and quickly backs down from the idea that he actually hates everyone.

The impression I have from the novel is that Kenta is a reclusive guy that loves his wife, is annoyed by the people showing up at his doorstep, and mainly just hates nobles since they are the ones that betrayed him. Manga Kenta comes off as a paranoid guy that's obsessed with his wife and actually hates everyone else in the world.
