I also recommends you guys to listened to all the music on their official Youtube channel after the movie because EVERYTHING about the lyrics makes so much sense with the story! The movie absolutely well-made. It's definitely a passion project, seeing how everything is so fresh—the animation, the plot, and the characters. It's a good retelling of the original monogatari!

First of all, I'd like to say that this Netflix film is PEAK Yuri, the plot is so good and the animation is so great and that's coming from someone who doesn't like vtubing or streaming or any online idol stanning at all.

I actually wonder why do manga adapt from that animated movie anyway. And I even want to know if the storyline and the vision for the movie and the manga (I hear there's a novel also???) is going to match up.
Is it because the movie is technically a "pilot episode" of sorts? And now they get to continue the story with another media or something?

And most importantly, will there be extra content?
It would be kind of a letdown if it's simply "adaptation" like it's from a manga to an anime. Because from an actual high-budget film to a manga, there will be many cuts on content and details. If that's the case, then one would be better off just watching the film from the start.

I mean an actual ORIGINAL yuri film that's acutally good? I would like to have a manga or a novel for this stuff, but if there aren't any new content, then it honestly sounds kinda forced because making manga for a film is much easier than the other way around.

I mean if I sound weird I dunno what I'm talking about anyway, guess I'm just surprised at this turnout of an adapted manga from an orignal film.

Maybe there will be more funny moments with Kaguya streaming? Take the pacing a bit slower?

We'll see how it turns out!
