These adaptations really need to do more showing and not telling or just drop the crazy amount of exposition and turn it into a power point presentation with bullet pointed lists. These past few chapters have been nothing but exposition dumps and flashbacks.

It’s not even anything new, I think in the past 3-6 chapters the same flashback to the cell has been referenced multiple times with basically the exact same scene. Also the sword, bro we KNOW every time he uses the sword bad things happen it doesn’t need a flashback. Or a whole page of monologuing.

At least with this latest chapter we see the story progress if even a little.

I thought this was good enough for a 6, but ever since Harold was arrested this has just been a slog. Back down to 5. Does this mango even get edited? I’m kinda curious cause if it does they should quit being an editor.

It's all have been "I love you, but I can't" and "I don't trust Harold" kind of story and it's pissing me a bit.

I have not read the WN, so this is an assumption on my part, maybe the WN is also bad, but either the author or editor, or both, of this manga are not doing a very good job. It's so hard to keep track of the story because there are so many time skips, both big and small. Harold worries about accelerating the game's story due to his actions, but the story of this manga seems to be moving at warp speed.
As of chapter 66 the MC has been reincarnated for 8+ years, but we only see maybe 4-ish months of that. The author is constantly just fast-forwarding through the story.

The most egregious is the time skip around chapter ~60 where he gets arrested and then we suddenly jump forward 5 whole years. Then we have an extended flashback to 5 years ago to see what happened right after he got arrested, I mean ????? where is the editor? Why jump so far forward and then immediately move the story back to where you just skipped? Harold has been working for

Also, god Harold is unlikable. The tsundere archetype kind of works because it's tsun and dere, nobody like just tsun because that's just abuse. I understand that his actions show that he cares, but literally every interaction is him calling someone a dumb bitch loser. Everyone likes the guy who insults and berates them because they are all masochists I guess.

Erica is by far the worst example of this. Harold has never said a kind word to this girl and she still so devoted and in love just cuz. It's just thrown in throughout the story, but over the 8 years of the story Harold and Erica have never spent time together and almost never even see or speak to each other.
