The wait is so long, but the manga is real good! Also I checked in chapter 17 and the slime was supposed to become the demon lord, so the bad irushia being needed and all that is technically wrong. Unless of course that "god" can just make more. After all in ch 17 we see a lot of screens with the word "DEAD" on it, so maybe God just gives skills to things and sees what happens trying to make the strongest being?

FINALLY the scumbag is dead, and he died in a way that was extremely satisfying. What a way to end the arc. Shame dragonbro's flakes got stronger; you'd think getting the hero title would at the very least give him some kind of countercurse or something for all his hard work. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Wew lad, this was the Snickers Bar of chapters: it satisfied. That "hero" got what was coming to him. He was such a fun slimeball that I loved to hate. Charismatic, intelligent, powerful, and super evil. Watching him on his back foot these last couple of chapters was wonderful. Seeing him attack innocent people, to heal himself and force Irushia to drain his MP healing them, seemed like a brilliant strategy. But it blew up in his face, when Irushia's selfless behavior was enough to level up his Savior Spirit and Tiny Hero to max. They combined into regular Hero title. And the icing was that he basically stole the Hero title from the human Irushia. Superb.

We also saw Irushia reach level 60. I don't remember if is the level cap to get a new evolution. If it's not, he's probably close. If he can safely drop best catgirl in a safe beastman friendly city, he could go grind for levels, and then evolve. With his new Hero title, there is a good chance he'll get an evolution option that will take him off the evil dragon path. He kind of already is, with his current Ouroboros state; which seems more dual natured. A combination of good and evil. I think there is hope of getting rid of his curse scales passive ability soon. If I'm correct, he could then reunite with catgirl. Fingers crossed.

I love how smart even some of the side characters are. Adolf found some unknown way to counter the slave brand. I liked that he delivered the killing blow, so Irushia wouldn't have to kill another human. Although, given how evil he was, he'd probably be fine doing so.

Rabbit Ball unexpectantly telling Adolph and catgirl Irushia's name was a pretty cool moment. I don't want to see any of the three separated. Also hoping for a future reunion with the female poison lizard back in starter jungle, and the human girl he first met there too. The series is moving in a real good direction and I've loving.

Since @apinkfrog has reminded me, is the anime good yall? I've largely stopped watching a bunch of anime adaptations (unless its Golden Kamuy level of good), and I kinda want to know consensus on it.
Yeah as far as I saw anime wasn't bad the fights weren't on the top but it doesn't take away much either.
Also thay use a diverse array of bgm and sfx. It covers up for the animation.

Yeah given how much of a scumbag he was his tenacity was still praiseworthy.

Cool guys don't look at explosions, and cool guys don't bother pulling the sword back out of the villain.
Believe it or not there are some villains where leaving the sword in them is necessary not just style. In this case though it makes a statement that he used a "Praying Templar stance" to kill this villain instead of a coup de grace (the difference is in the way the sword is positioned it would be a praying coup de grace if the sword was turned 90° and funny enough both stances are not historical with praying templar first appearing in Monty Python and the Holy Grail and praying coup de grace first appearing in comics).
