So first there's a teacher who can't tell the difference between Taiwan and Japan, and now there's kids who can't tell the difference between Japanese movies and Chinese ones.

I think it's pretty obvious what the author thinks of Americans.
Although to be fair, I have similar stereotypes about them, so I'm not in a position to judge him.

pretty accurate though. most Americans think Asia is a country or sum bs like that because the "all look the same"
