Men have a different method of self-growth as we derive value from creation and having value to others. I'd recommend working out and learning a hobby that requires skill (gaming is not a hobby unless it is an actual profession).
Key messages from her are useful though, which is to not immediately assume ill intent and take time to process where others are coming from. Of course, this is Japan, so apply that rule in normal social situations, and not "it's dark out and I see a shady person entering the corner store I am in, I am just going to assume nothing can go wrong."
😢 patriarchy. The comment.

I'm so sorry for you my dude. Your value is inherent. You don't have to do anything. I promise.

A hobby is, by definition, not a profession.
You might not consider gaming a productive hobby, which is it's own debate, but hobbies also do not need to be productive.

Wording on this is a bit weird. The wording implies "we" refers to "men", but statistically, women are found to be more creative and generally more concerned with social acceptance, so that seems incorrect?
Mind you, I think everyone finds value in these two things, and the difference is more in how they try to satisfy these needs.

First off there are professional gamers and steamers who make a living gaming. So that's wrong right off the bat. No debate necessary.

Second. 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Just like you just did. Men and women are just as creative. You are expressing sexism and patriarchal oppression.

HUMANS are social animals. Social acceptance = survival. Men and women depend equally on social acceptance.
