I was thinking that he'd make barrier domes that he could slam down over the mines to mitigate damage when detonating them...I see now that I had overestimated his intelligence.

The slam down of a large barrier, like the one proposed by another commenter, would have probably led to a similar result as the one shown.

We both overestimated this dumdum, and we both came up with different but similar ideas that made logical sense to try, rather than the "sprinting minesweeper, I'm a doof" plan.

MC really has just gone full team demon, he was willing to let his demon kill those soldiers, he truly doesn't comprehend that as soon as he dies the demons will begin their genocidal war again except thanks to him the demons will be even stronger. or maybe he just doesn't care.

The manga has rather terrible writing and battle choreography, it skips over so many things, the barrier magic doesn't make sense (it's called a basic barrier 100 times but he can do literally everything with it), MC is a dumbass and the MTL isn't too bad but sometimes it's jarring, this title could not get a high rating.

When I Put up the Strongest Barrier in the Country, It Became Too Peaceful and I Was Banished. They Did Know That That Barrier Isn't Permanent, Right?

We're all still waiting on the ramifications for that Helena country, but nothing has happened to them. That ex-fiancée chick went back home and just fessed up everything and the Helena arc just… ended like that?

It's a bad story.

I don't disagree. I guess I should say why is this rating accurate and the mountains of other trash isn't rated the same or lower? I've seen so much isekai that's rated around 7-8 that's just as good/bad as this one. I don't get why this one in particular is so much lower.

This is a great manga, if you have good memory and love a fast pace.
