And that is why fortifications are built on top of elevated positions, and not below or next to them.

A competent leader would have used sappers and archers to take that fortress with little effort in a siege.

despite it being a 'military /foodie' isekai, how many authors actually research these things versus the bragging of 'japan rice supremacy' kinda vibes lol (considering magic exists in this world i wonder if some more otaku type mcs would be bitter/jealous he couldn't use magic even if only for cooking versus anything supremely op)

Man, this manga is so average, but I can't help but keep reading it because of my curiosity.
I guess it has its own charm
