Is there a reason why the TL was chosen to be "biological weapon" instead of "living weapon"?

Usually biological weapons would be things that affect the functioning of other living beings, while a living weapon would be... well, a weapon that's also a living being to some degree.

I'm asking since I haven't checked the raws to see what is used for it, but reading "biological" for what the bird does gives me the impression it should be a different adjective.

because in the raw, the kanji is "生体兵器".
生 = Life
体 = Body
兵 = Soldier
器 = Tool

生体 together means "living body/biological organism".
兵器 together means "military tool/weapon".

"生体兵器" is structured to something like "化学兵器"(chemical weapons) or "機械兵器"(mechanical weapon).
so i go with biological weapon, because "兵器" usually used in something like military classification.

while that’s true in English military terminology, but the Japanese term here literally describes the weapon as biological in nature, not as something that targets biology.
