They very much simplified Peromus s story here. The dude worked the girl s father for years and even got him a store in the capital (which was legitimately his biggest dream). Then he finally let him meet his daughter again and she had absolutely no idea who he was. Apparently despite the promise that her father had made, he never bothered telling his daughter about Peromus. Which I think is grounds enough for him to take away the old man s store but it looks like he’s still trying to win her over so good luck

I don't think I've ever seen an anime author do dual wielding right, and this one is just dumber.
I don't care how strong you are, if your goal is to swing a large axe, you don't use two.

Dual wielding is for quick attacks, and or counter attacking.
You usually see one main sword, and a smaller one on the off-hand.

Now, I'm not a big martial arts guy or whatever, but it makes no sense for Dogora to dual wield, unless each axe has very special magical properties, or some shit, but I doubt it.
