For clarity, the criminal here is the Author/Writer.
Mf (Kurita Kazuaki, but has different pen name used like Ichiro Hajime and Yamamoto Shouichi) already arrested way back in like 2020, and by 2022 rehired by Manga One, fully aware of his crime history.
the Artist/Mangaka/Illustrator here (Tsuruyoshi Eri) said they didn't know about the crime until the Kurita's trial end where he lost (deserved).
Now, i know some will spell doubt on whether or not teh Artist/Mangaka truly unaware of what their writer did, but just to be clear, it's not until recently that the trial ended and during that time since 2020, Kurita have been working under multiple psuedonym, generally speaking in the small capacity i know working in visual/illustration industry, especially modern comic such as webtoon or published digital comic, the Writer and the illustrator doesn't necessarily need to know let alone meet with each other to discuss about their project, especially when they have a liaison type figure like the Editor who most likely deal with Kurita Manuscript before it was given to Eri for it to be made into name (manga industry slang for visual storyboard).
Now we know for a fact that the Shueisha editorial fully aware of his crime and actively shoving it under the rug by insisting on him using different pen name, so it's not imposible that the Editor make sure that minimum interaction between the writer and artist were being kept as not to rouse more sus, add that with how japanese law work on covering culprit identity.
So what im trying to say is
It's truly possible for the artist/Mangaka/Illustrator to know nothing and is innocent, just like the case of Act-Age Artist
Just hoping that the hate is not misdirected to Eri in their capacity as the artist, knowing how hard and ruthless illustator industry can be in japan, their situation is already suck as is and now with this case going public and viral with their Drawing being used as front page while most publication doesn't differentiate between the writer and the Illustrator when reporting this case.
