I don't think it's completely unbelievable. We can assume that Saki created a plan to date and marry the father, with the sole purpose of becoming his stepmother. I highly doubt she fell in love with his deadbeat father. She knew what she wanted, and the father was just a pawn in the whole scheme. But it is bizarre how she even found his father to begin with, but then again, this is a fictional story.

Jun is just devoid of any parental love so hes so desperate for anything that he can find espcially a mother.
I wont call father complete trash cause hes taking care of him on his own in some ways and might have issues of his own but still no excuse for all the behavior and negligence towards jun.
Saki is just a mystery bomb, her whole reason on being on the milf app and then after finding such a precious boy she can pamper.
Still wondering how did the school found out about the app and his date with saki. Her dating the dad is no coincidence ofc especially after her experience with jun and shes literally the perfect mother figure for him too.
So does she want to genuinely be his mom after seeing him lonely or its her on a hunt for jun for her own desire.

A kid as short sighted and desperate as he is, I’d hazard a guess that he used his school email to sign up for the dating app, probably used his full name, address and all that other shit in the profile too which would explain both the school immediately finding out and saki getting ahold of his information without much trouble.

The app company reporting him seems highly unlikely. Wouldn't the company just ban him permanently if they figured out this happened? It would seem pretty haphazard for them to inform the school. That would equal to coming out and declaring they successfully paired up a minor with an adult. The school could easily have a teacher who would contact the police and the press, spilling it all, accusing the app company of helping criminals. A "milf hunter" app is kind of fringe anyway, suggesting it mainly exist for sexual purposes, so it wouldn't have the kind of moral standing a more proper dating app might have today.

It was a pure artificial plot device he was found out and got in trouble at school. If the app company had been under police investigation, I doubt the school would be informed, even in Japan with its infamous police. Jun's father would be informed, most likely, but otherwise some psychologist would just meet with Jun to see if he's okay and to gather victim statements. Informing the school would be nothing but escalating the matter, as we indeed saw happening. But then again, it is Japan, so I guess you never know, in the end. They do some pretty weird things over there as well.
