Who did Yasuke even lose to? I mean, he got captured by Mitsuhide, but he was sent back to the Jesuits.

Which is ?
Assassin's creed, the one that was supposed to have a black guy as the male protag in Japan. Shadows I think? Got such backlash because either racism or historical inaccuracies.

Because it's a black guy in a japanese manga who... Y'know what, I don't know either what goes on in the mind of the commenters who made that association. :aquadrink:

I mean, the Bakiverse has certains flaws but portraying/including black folks was never really one of them : the series is 35 years old this year and they always had Olivia as a solid secondary character, even making him the main one in a few chapters ! How many manga series that old can actually boast that fact ?

So, yes, to me personally, a black character appearing in any Baki series ain't really that surprising : just another bro for Retsu to bond with because he's just that lovable !!

Alai had his whole villain arc too. He even snagged a rare W from Yujiro (Technical W's still count right?)

Yujiro randomly being rapey I could 100% do without... but the series definitely is pretty equal opportunity in terms of ethnicity and nationality. Discussion to be had about gender sure, but not race.
