What changed is right after this. Naoto is escorted to the king. Kazuha is sitting there next to the king looking uncomfortable. After Naoto leaves, Kazuha stays and she ends up having sex with the king. What changes is that the king seems like stereotype somewhat obese fat man and has an inferiority complex. While Kazuha is on the receiving end, she is confused about something, which sets off the king, he transforms his thing to be even bigger causing Kazuha to say “impossible! Impossible!” And the king forces himself onto her.

It was hinted in novel that king’s original appearance didn’t attract women. I guess artist and author went with the somewhat fat man stereotype. And why he uses his gift primarily for blackmail and sex with women.
