I guess that's the thing with yuri manga. There are so few of them that made it past, say, 10 chapters because they don't get afforded the leeway like other genres to build up a good story. You either either go high pace in the beginning or you get the axe.

Of course that's not to say the story here isn't good, quite the contrary.

This manga is an adaptation of a light novel. It's not getting axed and the pacing isn't really that much faster than the novel. You'll see where it's headed sooner or later.

as far as I know , there is no translation for the LN. I read the web novel ver. and this story is one of the most popular yuri WN on Kakuyomu. I use google translation to read it.

they get together quite early, but broke up half way through their relationship bc of the same reason Yui broke up with her ex-girlfriend, except this time it was Kanata who broke up with Yui. Then few years later they get back together again through coincident. It was quite a drama with Yui's situation but this time, both of the girls did their best to overcome it.

Even if I already know all the plot and drama, this is still a good read to notice more subtle thing with their dialogue and action. The mangaka did a great job with the pacing

It's hard not to feel that way, esp in the West where sapphic tv shows get cancelled after one season almost every time. And we had some good manga end last year that had a lot of potential after only a volume or two.
