I would actually say that its required. Even if you can recover infinite amount of hp per turn/tick/second/whatever, all you need is enough dmg done to you to bring you to 0hp and kill you in-between said turns/ticks/etc.

But if she has ability to never go under 1hp - she basically becomes immortal and then any dmg done to her does indeed not matter, and how fast she can regen her hp up just translates to how long she needs to wait before she can do shit again after something brought her down to 1hp.
