I read this chapter right after chapter 4 and it makes me feel a sense of doom because she's planning something for the future while she herself is a being that can end it. It makes me feels like the ending is either both of them dying together in one last stand or both living a happy life together.

the future + kids talk was cute though from a more objective perspective the world ending eldritch horror having children sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

True but its also an indication from her that she wants a future, which is a good thing when the entire reason everyone is so scared of her is because she's a threat to the future existing

Probably one of them sacrifices themselves for the other, then gets brought back through the power of love or something

I feel like we’re heading to a classic lovecraftian-horror ending of “the world is doomed”, but with a twist that the main couple is fine and doesn’t fully care.

I could see this series being an exploration of the final days of the world, in a way.
