All I remember about that manga is reading it chapter by chapter and it had all the hallmarks of being a romance, and I got really mad at the ending. It’s been years so maybe I did read it wrong, who knows. I felt strongly that it was teasing romance and the author was too pussy to commit to writing a gay relationship

What is the BL equivalent if losing chess to a dog? Because I’m slightly worried this is happening again since it happened to me at least once with a different manga, Boy Skirt. Don’t read that one by the way it’s like if Prunus Girl was dogshit and all the romance was purely subtext.

Boy Skirt is much worse than Prunus Girl, but that's also not a really fair comparison, they have pretty different goals for the type of story they want to tell. I will agree it's generally pretty unsatisfying though.
