I think this was a mistranslation in context.
I'm inferring it went like this -- though can't tell without raw.

• Her: "Watashi no koto... miteiru? (He's looking at who... I am?)"
• Her: "Watashi mo mireba ii... (I guess I should start looking [at him] too...)"

Edit: dug up raws, I was correct.
Translation was literal and dropped context between panels.
