Fortunately for her but unfortunately for her case - once Yakuza Man finds out, there won't be enough pieces of Scumbag Criminal left to put handcuffs on.

This series is pretty cute, though. the misunderstandings and fakeouts land much nicer with the short-form chapter format. Rather than a bunch of pages continuously laying on the misunderstanding to unbearable levels, the low page count mean each scenario plays out more quickly, and the punchline arrives before fatigue over the two of them "not getting it" sets in.

It's a formula that works, I think. Probably couldn't continue forever, but since the series likely ends the moment they both realize the other likes them, having this back-and-forth center on the comedy of their interactions with the "out loud" and "internalized" dynamic, on top of them actually solving crimes or fighting the Real Villains in the meantime, is rather successful and could carry on for a decent bit, I figure.

I didn't think it was woke to point out considering it went from "fraud ring" in the previous chapter to two undercover female cops getting slipped date-rape drugs in a rom-com.
There was zero mention of sexual assault so far, so maybe the guys just drugging and robbing them but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
