Right i don't really get it too...
Anw the other version of translation i could think of is "Yomi is riding a bird, not a horse" As the correlation of him being locked in a stable in the next chapter.
But if you know what it means or know whats better for it pls tell me. 🙏

The bird part being ruby-texted as "いなば" turned out to be key, albeit I'd still need to scrape the intervening chapters to confirm when the name comes up: Inaba is apparently the name of the giant riding sparrow Yomi procured back in the vampire arc.

If the previous page talking about Konoha Satou's "trauma" uses the loanword in katakana, the bit about the horse could (at this particular point, at least) be simple wordplay based on "トラウマ" having "ウマ" in it on top of the above.
