I kinda just don't care about this demon.

I can see him making interactions with MC more interesting since he'll remember the loop but I feel like he's more just going to be overall annoying either having to have basic concepts like being nice to people feels nice be taught to himn Untill he eventually "becomes human" and helps the MC out of his own volition or something along those lines happening.

What's with fantasy manga absolutely hating demons recently? Not that I'm opposed to it, but this trends comes out of nowhere!

"I don't want to be involved in a slave and master relationship"

Works him to the bone minutes later
It's still not the old weary trope of "magical slavery" - as you can see he could easily deflect the tasks just like any fellow being.

Instead of being magically compelled to obey the slightest command to the letter which was probably what he could have been expecting.

That kind of brings up a good question, does Zealark know about Fiona's brother being the demon king? I would assume so seeing how he's viewed the final battle multiple times and might've been there for the reveal. And if he does, will that "don't lie" condition of the oath collar make him tell her the truth earlier on if she asks? I feel that would definitely throw a wrench into Albus's plans

"Demons are cruel and cunning creatures. That's just a fact, there's nothing I can do about it."
I love how this concept follows the same as Frieren but goes in a completely different direction. That demon's inherently bloodlust is just their nature but how it's being used here by the protagonists is completely different.
For Frieren, it means that they should be killed off the spot because negotiations are futile. For Albus, he does negotiate with it mostly playing in his favor because he has something to gain from it. Which I understand they're too completely different situations but it's interesting to see. Albus's situation reminds me of Macht and Gluck to be honest, where they kind of make a trade with the devil, as Macht tries to go against his nature to find empathy, while Zealark is trying to cure his state of boredom.

Couldn't help but notice Zealark and Fiona have such similar eye designs since they talk a lot to each other this chapter. I'm still intrigued by the fact that Zealark retains memories of each loop, though I suppose it has nothing to do with the Demon King since the Demon King himself does not have the ability to do so. Or maybe it's foreshadowing something. Hmm...
