Am i getting deja vu'ed right now or did this manga used to be MUCH farther down the line than it is now....

the manga is exploring or fleshing out the inbetween from when the anime end (Shiro joined up with Ariel/Demon king and at the start/end of the attack on Elven Village).

tbh, it sure is abit confusing with how the storyline is done in the anime but it serve such an amazing twist as an only manga reader.

It's worth remembering that the rest of the classmates are like 4 year old or so humans right now. They don't actually have a say where they wind up, and the elves are taking them into "protective custody."

More like a flashforward than a timeskip.
I wonder how the manga will handle the final parts of the series, without the side PoV, it will be very bad (especially the war arc who's arguably the best book of the second part).

They don't know what Potimas is really up to, since he keep them away from 'obviously bad' operations like helping the demon coup or the Sofia kidnapping.

Sensei was born as an elf and she's just trying to look out for her students by finding and checking on their situation with her unique skill.
Potimas saw her as easy radar for reincarnators.

And I think 2 more are 'technically' on the elves side, but more like they were saved by the elves in the past and they're just normal adventurers otherwise?

not elves but an adventurer that once met Shiro here. basically trained those childhood sweethearts the skill and capabilities of an adventurer. Nobody really is on the Elves side aside from Ouka-chansensei.

I've just spent the last few weeks reading the WN so I don't really remember what she's done differently from the WN.
In the Web Novel, Shiro is the one who learnt that they were with the elves

by secretly forcing a patrolling elf to swallow a small spider egg and then walk through the elves' barrier to get in and then hatch.

She also has a massive information network through a bunch of "finger-tip size" spiders she spread everywhere while journeying to the demon realm.

Because those rabid readers always tell me the MC / Demonking are the good guys and I don't buy it ( and don't get me started on the bitch vampire). Either the story sucks or the writer does but so far all the characters are completely unlikable

She started to build her spider network. She used it in the Demon Realm, but she has yet to spread it to the entire continent.

That's because the Manga cut all of the side PoV.
It makes manga-readers happy, but once the story really starts... well there's 0 story to tell.

Wouldn't have had the same impact. The execution wasn't just about eliminating Walkis, it was punishing and putting Blow in his place. Something along the lines of "Fall in line, cut the BS or someone close to you will be handed the dagger aimed at your heart next. Also, I may vore you somewhere in that process."
