Gotta speedrun the introduction before the readership gets bored! :worry:

Also, the top of page 37 is clearly missing important information (white space in the middle).

This is just a lame version of RFAWETOTBQTFTALHSLTW. (Or whatever that series's nickname is supposed to be.) Like, where are the generic gray aliens and androgynous angels and trigger-happy Shinto priestesses, Mr. Kuroatama?? If you're gonna rip off another series, at least have the decency to leave in the stuff that actually made it interesting! (Assuming this isn't just a rip-off of a rip-off, or a rip-off of a different source of inspiration.)

Oh, no, no thank you. (to the manga itself. This story is like its intentionally trying to win an award for being awful and these characters are anti-compelling).

If you're actually asking, it's because the main site where people post Japanese web novels doesn't have a description field, making it difficult for authors to tell potential readers what their story is about unless that reader decides to check that novel specifically. And there're so many novels on that site that the chances of that happening are extremely slim.

So to make sure that their readers know what their stories are actually about, authors started putting the descriptions of their stories into the title field, which displays in the "recently updated novels" list or whatever. This makes it more clear what the story's about, giving readers more of a reason to read their novel.

Then, when these are adapted into light novels and / or manga and / or anime, these long "titles" are treated as actual titles, even though most of them were never actually intended as such. Though, by this point, it's almost just become a part of the genre, so sometimes you'll stories that just use these sorts of titles for the aesthetic, most notably in isekai.

thats really interesting, a bit sad that these novels dont have single word names which makes searching for them a bit of a drag

I really like that series. I wish KDT would get back to work on it. They were supposed to release a chapter back in February.
